Please help with my mandarin tree
« on: February 10, 2025, 11:50:16 PM »

I’ve had this Clementine mandarin tree in the ground for about 7 months and it was doing well but for the past two months this started happening to the leaves. It has these little dots on the leaves sporadically and they differ in color from black as shown to white. Can anyone help me on how to remedy this problem or is it not as much of a problem and I’m making it out to be. Any advice is appreciated.

I am in Hawaii around 1500 elevation in case that makes a difference.

Thank you in advance

Apply Azomite (rock dust) soon before the rains come to give all essential micro nutrients to the tree. Apply around the drip line of the tree. Most of those citrus leaves you see now will fall away when new growth forms in late winter/early spring.

Now is also the prefect time to spread organic fertilizer for citrus trees just before the rain comes starting Wed night thru Friday. That's what I will be doing tomorrow morning.

Thank you for the help!
Can I apply epsom salt diluted in water in the meantime or does it need all those minerals?

Magnesium.  Do not apply at high temperatures or low humidity.  Apply in the morning or late afternoon.  Use 4-oz. per gallon warm water as a foliar spray.
