Title: Should I remove sucker from Hood pear and 18 month old mango seedling tree
Post by: GFC on August 23, 2021, 07:26:45 PM
Should I remove this sucker on my Hood pear tree. Its above the graft line, I believe. Also I noticed a ground sucker emerged next to the potted mango seedling. Its 18 mo old. Should I remove it as well.

I would get rid of both. The low branch on the pear and the
sucker growing up 4" away from the mango trunk. Don't let the trees
waste energy on the low branch or the sucker.
