If it was grafted, then you now have an inferior tasting random guava seedling. Guava are usually not grafted though, so it's probably the original variety. If your guava was not grafted –unlikely– then these three new shoots are the same plant.
So if that's the unlikely scenario what situation am I most likely in and what am I growing now? Should I just do what you said anyway and let it grow to see what develops?
I did find a picture of what it looked like last July when the main part was dead and the small shoots were starting to come up if that helps at all.
Those people who tasted Alphonso mango grown in Konkan region of India, have come across any mango variety which tastes better? There are tons of mango varieties better than Alphonso here in the US. You don't have access to them in India unfortunately.
I only like Uttar pradesh grown Dasheri tastewise. It was at same level tastewise.
Keshar, mallika, benganpalli, imam pasand, Ratna, Sindhu which I tasted were not even close to Alphanso.
It seems like 100% of cherilatas are Painter's because Painter is the name of the guy that first created the hybrid. I believe all of them derive from his original?Unless it was a seedling of a painters.
Do you have to manually pollinate the flowers?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Probably way too early. Where? How? In person? Shipped? (I realize most likely you're a fraudulent spam account, "female" named "Bruce"--unless you're Bruce/Caitlin Jenner).
Looking to purchase about 5 coconut cream mangoes when just about ripe.
Thank you sir! I decided to do this after the Alphonso, which had over 200 fruitlets, left me with just 1 mango still on the tree. My largest tree and gave me the lowest count of fruit. Very disappointing, but better varieties on it now lolFinally got some scions from Alex. White piri was my choice after much research. Scions are super fresh and healthy. Luckily i have buddy tape handy! Grafted onto a 30g alphonso(waste of a tree in Florida btw). I have grafted Maha Chanok onto the other half of the Alphonso. Hope all goes well!Nice selection nice looking grafts🙂
Im back in between expeditions and have some highly requested seeds for sell on my Website. If you order by wednesday 4/19 I can get them our before my next adventure otherwise shipping resumes May 8. Also for international shipping I have a new collaboration I will announce soon.

sachamango (Grias peruviana) This plant grows best in a humid tropical climate and clay soils, rich in organic material; its characteristics and great adaptability allow the plant to withstand the adverse conditions that occur during the rainy season.
The fruit grows along the trunk of the plant and its shape is similar to a mango, the skin is coffee colored while the flesh is orange and grows around a large white pit. The color, consistency and taste of the sachamango is similar to a carrot.
The sachamango is harvested by hand, it is peeled using a machete due to the hardness of its peel in order to be able to eat it. It is eaten raw, toasted or roasted over coals which results in a buttery consistency and a taste much like dried fruit.
In addition to the flesh, the indigenous population of Amazonia use the dried back and the pit to make teas that possess laxative and purifying properties.
Lacmellea peruvianus "Chicle Huayo"
Very sweet, and many locals favorite fruit. The latex gum around the seeds is a natural chewing and quite flavorful.

Mark has great scions. I grafted some mary lane last spring and they have already grown 5+ft with a prune on top of that!I second this. I got some from Mark last month and 3 of the grafts already have 3" branches and leaves that have formed with bright green leaves. I'm super green at grafting and these took well!!! Highly recommended!
Also want to note that With regards to this discussion about the checklist “fee” , it’s really just a deposit towards the cost of the first scion. It only becomes a fee if people decide not to pay the invoice. That’s not what this situation was about .
It has nothing to do with a $6 fee genius. I could care less. Just would like the scions I purchased without having to wait again. If that is asking too much in your opinion, that's unfortunate as I did not ask for one. It's a simple question which typically gets a simple answer as I am one of the orders that fell through the cracks obviously.I think calling him and having a private discussion would be better than asking him to make an exemption publicly. There is the GoFundMe option if you can't afford another fee.😅Hi Alex,Pretty sure that they will refund you and you will have to place another order that's how their system works. 30 minutes after I place my order I realized that I wanted to add more. I just made another order and paid the fee. I'm thinking he has many things going on and I don't want to trouble him with something miniscule as the price of a cup of coffee and a donut.☕️🙂
Even if you place 2 separate orders in the same week, both fees get applied as a credit towards the invoice. Although we are likely going to change the deposit figure for larger orders.
Since I was not refunded yet, is it possible to swap to a different variety? I have a lot of cultivars I am looking for.
Alex

Is it possible to switch to another variety that you might have?I requested and paid for my scions over a week ago. How long does taf typically take to contact you to ship them, and ship them?
The request lists get checked on Sundays and invoices emailed on late Sunday nights and Monday.
Mine must have got forgotten. It's been 2 Sundays and Mondays with no invoice or anything.
If you didn’t receive any invoice and it’s not in your spam folder , then the list likely checked as nothing ready, in which case you’ll receive a refund on the deposit this week. Normally you would have been notified of this by now but we are running behind after receiving checklists for close to 1,000 scions this last week and were short staffed on Sunday.
Did you get an email immediately following your order with the subject: "Thanks, we received your submission!"?I did
