We know, that most zalacca is a diecious flower. Salak with this type is very troublesome. They need help from humans or animals for marriage male and female flowers. This job is very tiring.

Finally I found salak with monocious flowers, I am very happy. This salak is called Salak Gula Gondok (SGG). This salak only grows in certain areas in Bali. This salak has white flesh like onions, sweet and crispy meat.

Morphological characters of Salak Gula Gondok (SGG)
The range was between 3.5 to 6 m plant height, crown width of 2.5 - 5.5 m, erect stems form contained traces of leaf midrib, with midrib rather wide angle. Midrib leaf blade was 2.5 - 3.5 m length, the average number of leaflets the range of 73-79 cm, length of the leaves 58-62 cm and a width ranging from leaflets with a range of 3.3 to 4 cm. Upper leaf surface was dark green and grayish green bottom, if the compound leaves alternate position.
This cultivars monoecious flowers are arranged on the same cluster, cob compound flower shape, flower notch on the back of the base of the frond. Ovary stalk short pink long bunches of 18-25 cm.
