"Sri Kembangan' (Seri Kembangan?) is my favorite.

I am also very fond of 'Fuang Tung' and 'Bell.'

I bought Sri Kembangan tree from Mike at Trees n More. Originally I wanted Kari but Mike let me taste the 2 and Sri was a winner. The tree was huge though.
How big are your Sri K trees?

I planted this SK last spring ('21) from a tall, spindly 3 gallon.

It's bloomed a few times and gave me a decent crop last winter.  It's blooming again, but not much fruit set (the recent nonstop rain everyday has not helped).  I'm curious to hear how productive this variety is as it matures.  I've contemplated planting another carambola tree to see if it helps pollination, but I don't think I need more starfruit.  I still have a bunch left over in the freezer.   :D

I hear you sumognat :) My neighbor brings me bag loads of her carambolas. But I discovered when you juice them in a slow juicer, the juice is exceptional.
Regarding productivity, I do not really care either. I hope the tree will not get very big though.

Unpruned, Carambolas get over 50 feet tall and plaster the ground with fallen fruits.  Trying to prune them at that point doesn't accomplish much, as they regrow like rockets.

Keep them small from the start, by bending branches into arches, all within easy bare-handed reach.
