I have tree but I don’t think it pollinates due to a lack of a specialized wasp that pollinates it. I think the primary means of propagation where the wasp isn’t present is air layer. Could be wrong tho.
The best time to plant a fruit tree was 20 years ago. The next best time to plant one is now.

Do you know of anywhere I could source a tree or air-layer?

Bumping this thread 2 years to the date. Still on the search for ficus dammaropsis. Anybody have any seeds, cuttings, or leads to a source??

might try using carica pollen.  so far only 3 species have been crossed with carica...

ficus auriulata - subgenus: sycomorus / section: sycomorus / subsection: seomorphe
ficus erecta - subgenus: ficus / section: ficus / subsection: frutescentiae
ficus pumila - subgenus: synoecia / section: rhizocladus / subsection: plagiostigma

dammaropsis is in the same subgenus as auriculata, but in a different section, "dammaropsis".  if it worked then maybe the result would be a giant and tasty fig fruit.
