Do you have a large tree, and have you tasted the fruit?
If you tasted your fruit, how did you like it compared to other white sapote?

My tree is a decent size. I’ve gotten some fruits last season but they were the first fruits. I’ve only gotten to taste one other cultivar so far (Suebelle). I think this year will allow me to make a better assessment. They were good but I expect them to get even better.

Ok, sounds like similar experience eating white sapote as me. I had Suebelle and Vernon for a while and had some frutis but they were small. I had these two varieties in a small 5-10 gallon pot for a while so they did not grow much but do get flowers/fruits each year. I thought the Vernon tasted better. I did receive some McDill fruits 7 yrs ago and it was the best of these three fruits I tasted. I ended up growing the seeds and now have 3 larger seedling trees, the largest tree was 20 ft tall and is my multi-grafted seedling tree.

Now that I had finally collected 34 good varieties on my multi-grafted tree, I was hoping to eat some good varieties this year since most of them had small green fruits. Unfortunately, I had to removed and replant my larger tree and in doing so, had to cut off most of my grafted branches with all the fruits. I'll probably need to restart my collection again next year. I did get may large fruits on the Cuccio last year and it was a good tasting fruit. This year it had lots of large fruits again(before I cut it down).

Wow sounds like a large tree to dig up and replant! Bummer that you had to chop all of those varieties and start over! The tree on the right is my Vernon (behind the guava).
