Here's are some pointers from Hoang on best method to root/graft the cuttings, and then once it grows into a vine, how to get fruits to set.
1. To root cuttings in a pot, use a mixture of coco mix/coir and potting mix. Ratio should be 4:1. Keep temperature above 60F. Should root in 2+wks.
2. I have also rooted these cuttings in jar of water, then moved them into a pot.
3. To graft cuttings, it can be grafted on passiflora (i.e. Frederick, Red Rover). Use scion cutting with 2-3 leaf buds. After attaching to rootstock, cover with a plastic bad. This worked fine for me with Hoang's p. decaisneana.
4. Best chance for fruit, if it flowers in July/August. To force flowers you can feed manure 1/2 feet away from vine trunk.
5. To set fruits, hand pollinate with P. alata, PQML, P.decaisneana. I tried hand pollination using its own pollen and it did not set fruit.
