"Mary Lane" White Sapote scions for sale
« on: April 12, 2023, 03:30:47 PM »
Hi, the Mary Ln. White sapote is starting to push good buds.

This variety is one of the best that I have tried. I've tried at least 25 cultivars and this is the only one I have planted in my grove. It is medium size, and has light yellow flesh and yellow skin. The taste is very sweet, almost like caramel.

Scions are $5 each and 1st class shipping is $5 to USA residents. The scion wood stays fresh for several weeks.

Thanks,

Mark

Mark has great scions. I grafted some mary lane last spring and they have already grown 5+ft with a prune on top of that!

Mark, what in your opinion is the top 3-5 varieties?  Tempted to bring some of this to the repository.

I second this. I got some from Mark last month and 3 of the grafts already have 3" branches and leaves that have formed with bright green leaves. I'm super green at grafting and these took well!!! Highly recommended!

I like the Mary ln. of course, also Leroy, and some of Bob Chambers varieties that I forgot which ones were good like Rainbow, Malibu, Clytia. Also McDill is a real big fruit that is ok.

Hi Mark,
I may have missed the boat on these scions.  Any still available?  Any feedback on growing them in south florida.  Thanks
Pretty new to fruit growing but I am full steam ahead and getting much better.

I have the Redland variety, a Florida white sapote that’s gotten rave reviews among some Californians. Anyway, I’ve never heard of the Mary Ln variety. Would be interested in adding another variety to my white sapote collection. Thanks!
