Preferably in a 1 gal or 3. Thank you.
-
I'm looking for one as well! Hard to find these! Are they worth the hype?
-
I haven’t tasted it but I found one through guavaking.com. He’s located in central Florida on the east coast. Nice guy, willing to answer any questions you have.

I checked out that site and my goodness those prices seem high. I haven’t bought from them before so I can’t judge him/her specifically, but there really seems to be lots of folks jacking the prices up for non-Floridians who don’t have easy access to these trees. I bought from Lara Farms recently and I was pleased with his 1 gal selection and prices were reasonable considering how everything is going up. He’s got 8 sapodilla varieties…not Butterscotch, but other excellent ones. Just saying, I feel badly for these folks who pay insane prices for average tropical trees.

Just be careful when you buy anything from guavaking, he is famous for mislabeled his trees.
Numerous people here bought tree that is not the variety he said it was.
Recently my friend bought an Orange Sherbet mango from him that turned out to be an Ugly Betty.
Hope yours is a real butterscotch sapodilla.

Aaron Jones from Rivers of Provisions had some for sale earlier this year. Usually he will restock on spring, maybe you can preorder with him.
Not cheap though, i think a 3 gallon will cost about $120.
-
Bump. Still looking for one.
-
I have a really nice one that can use a trim I don’t have any seedlings big enough to graft to though

I was listening to a Q&A that Julian Lara (www.larafarmsmiami.com) did on Fruitful Trees YouTube channel recently, and he said he would be grafting Butterscotch sap in the not too distant future. He ships, too.

I have one left in North Fort Myers. Its a small 7 gallon and i already took some budwood from it so its pretty sad looking.

There's a lady selling them on esty that has huge 7 gallon i can't remember her name search for butterscotch sapodilla
-
I second Lara as well. Fast shipping and quality plants.
Also I’m happy to propagate if anyone has a lead on some small seedlings. Can try air layering some too
-
Has anyone here actually tried butterscotch sapodilla? I've yet to meet someone who has, seems like a lot of hype honestly.

I think i may only know one person who has had it out of all the growers i know down here.
I would love to try it but after trying some of the other ones people have spoken highly of in the past I'll wait.
I keep on flirting with grafting it but I'm finally set up for annonas and have limited space

As far as I'm concerned, Alano has an excellent butterscotch flavor (but it's not a small tree). Sometimes it even tastes like coffee with cream and sugar!

I bought mine from Truly Tropical in Delray Beach, FL. Very healthy plant in 3GAL - I believe that the cost is $70

Yes, I got one from him this spring. Very expensive, but the search is over. His tress are very healthy. I think I bought 6 trees that day.

That seems at the upper range of what's fair for a tree that's somewhat hard to get and in demand. Beyond that is gouging.
-
Im asking $130 for my last 7 gallon.
-
I've tasted it from Gary Zill. It was excellent, the best sapodilla I've ever had.

I agree. Some of the prices are ridiculous. You would think there’s a link for Bitcoin hidden somewhere in the pot.

Guava king is a scammer. Do a search, you shall see.

I bought one at Excalibur about 2 weeks ago. 1 gal $40.
