myrtaceae family is still surprising me! congrats, is this fruit nice?
myrtaceae produces so many different species, just think about the different shape and colours of cambuci, pitanga, guayaba, jaboticaba, feijoa... wow, it's incredible!

its watering but still has sweet taste especially on dry season..
myrtaceae family have hundred species here in indonesia, even wax apple has more than 20 subspecies here..
they grow well in rain seasons and get fruiting on dry seasons ( 3-6 months)

thanks for your comment

Myrtaceae has 100's of species, maybe thousands here with Eucalyptus and Melalaucas being pretty diverse. There are dozens of native Syzigiums in my area and many are largein the malay apple style.
Wax apples (S.samarangense)are the best in the genus in my opinion. The big seedless thai and now taiwanese types are great.
