Looking for wing bean-closed

Anyone have wing beans for sale? Also tips on growing these magical beans. I been trying to grow it for 4 years without success. Maybe getting fresh seeds from a gardener can be the trick.

I got Urizun winged bean from Baker Creek several years ago. The first time time around I planted at the same season as my pole beans (February). Its warm and dry here at that time (which is great for pole beans) but the winged beans did not grow very well until we started getting regular summer rains. Even though they have more resistance to leaf diseases than the pole beans, I think they are susceptible to red spidermites (particularly when there are no rains to wash them off). Late spring/early summer seems to be a better time to plant here in central Florida.

I ordered from bakers and amazon. Will probably get more from bakers if no one has fresh ones harvested from last year.

What are your germination methods?

Is your wing bean perrenial or annual?

Does your wing bean have a tuber, if so, does it grow new plants?

Is the crop pretty much an all at once type deal? Or is the harvest spread out over a few months?

I planted in fertilized garden soil when day time temps were in the 80s. The plants did produce a tuber, but I pulled most of them when they died back. I did not pull them this time around. We'll see if they come back.

The day neutral kind I planted had a couple month harvest window. I think the other types are more concentrated.

50 seeds for $6 is a great deal. I will try baker creek and that day neutral and see how it goes.

Had this bean when i was a kid, so chasing memories here.

Yes, see if the tuber regrows, that will be game changer (if i ever get to that level of success).

I haven't dug down, but this vine had seemingly died and dried up. And then it started pumping new growth again.
