Was doing some greenhouse watering this morning and noticed the Garnet seedling I purchased from you a couple months back was flexing with a big old flower.  Awfully young to be blooming.  Pretty cool.

As a follow up this post, one flower resulted in one fruit.  Let’s hope this fruit is tasty.  It would be great to have a CORG that fruits so readily considering other members here that have commented on the need for cross pollination from other trees in close proximity for fruit set. No other Eugenia’s were flowering in my greenhouse.  So far, I’m pleased with the genetics of this Garnet seedling.

Outcome of my one flower, one fruit from a seedling Garnet purchased from Kevin…a really delicious CORG selection.  I have two other fruit bearing seedling CORGS from different sources and this one was far superior in flavor.  Nice sweet taste, yellow flesh with no off putting qualities, whatsoever.  I probably could have let it hang for a few more days, but I wanted to try it before I leave for a work trip. I highly recommend getting one his plants the next time they are offered.  The parent genetics are strong with this one.
