Congrats!!! However, I believe you picked them way too early. You need to wait until the skin carpels open up a bit more to show the yellowish or pinkish in between. That's when you get the maximum flesh-to-seed ratio because unlike the general belief, it's the flesh-to-seed ratio that is important. Not the number of seeds per fruit. My 2-cents.
I don't really know if they would have hung on much longer.
Some were ready (or ripe) earlier....to the point that if you pulled or twisted lightly the stem would come off with the cone shaped pit attached.
One fruit fell off of the tree by itself and an upcoming vacation menas I could not have seen the individual fruit for almost a full week.
Could not risk them all hitting the ground and being lost.
about half of those picked were soft to the touch an were eaten (by me) yesterday and they were perfect.
Two of the largest ones were still firm and could have been on the tree for a while yet.
Flesh to seed ratio seemed very good in comparison to other variety of sugar apple I have tried here.....but that is not to say this one is the "best".....just the best I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy.
I am sure there is some superstar fruit out there waiting to be tasted.....looking forward to finding such fruits soon
