This is in a neighbor's yard out by the road. He's got a lot of fruit trees, mango, lychee, loquat, etc.
Is this a tropical fruit?

Sure looks like longan but several Cupaniopsis sp. can look remarkably similar.

Looks like a longan for sure. But you will have certainty once the fruit develop.

When will they ripen? I might have to ride by and check the ground for drops.
