Looking for toona sinensis
Vrod142:
Looking for toona sinensis and rice paddy herb, willing to buy or trade.
Pokeweed:
I got mine from a nice lady on the "growing fruit" forum. It is mainly temperate plant discussions. D
D-Grower:
I have this plant but not propagated at the moment. Once it goes dormant this winter I'll be able to take some root cuttings. Seems to be the easiest way to propagate this species.
Vrod142:
Is it worth growing? Hows the taste? The chicken bouillon one is awesome, I hope this one is kind of the sane.
D-Grower:
I assume you got the chicken bullion plant to root? I tried a bunch of cuttings recently and got like 3 out of 15 to root. I grew them from seeds before which was easy. Mine have flowered multiple times but not setting seeds yet. Hopefully soon. There's flowers on one pant now. We like to use a good handful of the leaves and cook it with rice to impart the flavor to the rice. Along with a good handful of Magenta leaf herb to give the rice a purplish color.
The toona sinensis is totally worth growing too. Ot does truly taste like beef and onions or close to that. Definitely makes for a good stir fry green veggie or for soups etc.
