Redlands Heritage Festival at Fruit & Spice Park Jan 9 & 10
« on: January 09, 2016, 06:59:32 PM »
Stumpled upon a festival today as I hit up the fruit and spice park.

I am hoping someone who is more tech-savvy will post pics here as well (Noel?)...The park had a fruit spread that was VERY impressive...probably 25 different species of fruit/nut.

The highlight for me (besides eating WAY too many sabarah and cauliflora jabos--who is that guy praying under the jaboticaba trees? ;D) was a $3 tropical fruit sundae that included canistel, jackfruit, dragonfruit, coconut, sapodilla, mamey, black sapote, longan and jaboticaba (with seeds included  8)

I took some pics with my flip phone and if need be I may be able to post them thru a 3rd party.

Very little mango bloom thus far, even inland....noticed one tree blooming (tag said Ritah from Jamaica).  Anyone had/heard of Ritah?
