All of them fruited.. but I culled most of them as being inferior with smallish fruits... Saved two though.
"Pinky" which is pictured above... and the best of the bunch... and a similar White-fruited one.
I was about to cull the White one when Kaz requested I save it for the sake of variety.

Sorry... I got the tree from Four Winds in California some years ago and they simple called it "Finger Lime".
Here's a couple of example photos of this years "Pinky" fruit:

Kaz... With all these trees you keep digging up, how do you find the time to work on your Corvette?

Keep in mind if you grow Kishu you'll need some Winter protection.
It will freeze.

Kishu... Kishu... Kishu!
Can't recommend it enough.
Super sweet, EZ peel, seedless and grows great in a container.

You might want to anchor the cage or they could go tumbling away.

How will you attach the plastic sheeting to the PVC?

I'm using 6 Mil Clear Greenhouse Plastic Sheeting.
Cost a little more but lasts several years and is pretty durable.
I order it in oversized dimensions and custom trim to fit.

Sounds like what you are doing is fine. When the weather moderates you can just remove the cages until you need them again. I do essentially the same thing except I call them Greenhouses.
Walk-in cloches really. Tinker Toy pressure treated 4X constructed frames covered in UV resistant greenhouse plastic. Ventilation... Open or close the doors depending on the weather. Space heaters for the really cold nights - 32 degrees or less.

Yes these are premium grafted Topaz plants.
Topaz has a nice balanced flavor with sweet tropical-fruit overtones.
Plus Topaz fruit has a very unique appearance... Chartreuse exterior when ripe...with a melting, Juicy, Golden pulp/interior.
And not bright yellow like the standard Pitangatubas.
Is Topaz a hybrid? Maybe. A mutant? Possibly!
Yes... these plants are grafted from my Topaz Mother plant... a superior selected seedling... and definitely the best tasting one I have grown.
It has a nice balanced flavor with sweet tropical-fruit overtones.

I've been growing them from seed for years now…looking for a tasty specimen.
As you know… most are just too sour to eat out of hand and really enjoy. Like trying to eat a lemon.
Topaz has nice dark-green, dense growth with lots of blooms too... and a nice sweet taste.

Outside during the warm months and moved into a greenhouse for the cold weather.
I left one out during our recent freeze with temps down to 25 degrees and it only suffered a little frost damage on the outer most tender tips.
