I still have some really nice Grafted TOPAZ Sweet Pitangatuba plants for sale...

Topaz has a nice balanced flavor with sweet tropical-fruit overtones.
Plus Topaz fruit has a very unique appearance... Chartreuse exterior when ripe...with a melting, Juicy, Golden pulp/interior.
And not bright yellow like the standard Pitangatubas.
Is Topaz a hybrid? Maybe. A mutant? Possibly!
Yes... these plants are grafted from my Topaz Mother plant... a superior selected seedling... and definitely the best tasting one I have grown.
It has a nice balanced flavor with sweet tropical-fruit overtones.

I've been growing them from seed for years now…looking for a tasty specimen.
As you know… most are just too sour to eat out of hand and really enjoy. Like trying to eat a lemon.
Topaz has nice dark-green, dense growth with lots of blooms too... and a nice sweet taste.

Looking good straight out of the box even after 5 days in the mail. Man it takes forever to unpack, packaging insanely good.

It's the second time I'm buying from Kevin. I was somewhat worried about winter shipment but I got the Topaz plant in great condition. Similar to the last time, the plant was very well packed. Thanks Kevin :)

Kaz,
I can only judge the ones I have on hand.
I would say they are neck and neck really.  And I hate to use the apples and oranges expression...
Except for their non edible skin... Grimal Jabos are fantastic. Red Hybrids are excellent too and the skin is edible.
Jabos take up very little space relatively and are easily grown in pots.
Topaz is a medium sized plant... very juicy with a nice tropical fruit flavor.
I have Black Star and Crimson Tide Surinames and they are both nice snacking fruits.

Ok, sounds good. The small tree I bought from you earlier is doing good, but not growing fast enough for me to get fruit yet.
Can the Topaz be grafted on other larger trees (jabos, etc)?

How is your Black Star Suriname cherry. I got your Crimson Tide. Save one Topaz for me, and if you have a scion or graft Black Star.

Kaz,
Try grafting it onto Pitangatubas... I get about 50% success rate... but that just may reflect my skill... You'll do better!
Black Stars are really nice... they remind me of Muscadine Grapes.
I have 5 grafted Topazes left... one headed out Monday... so I better get grafting again.

Ok, I will need to checkout some nurseries to see if they have a larger Pitangatubas tree.
