Has anyone been successful grafting any stone fruit like plum into loquat rootstock?

Not going to happen has to be within family for graft compatibility, loguat is odd in that it can be grafted to quince rootstock along with others fruiting species like Medlar, Pear I believe.

I mean they are in the same family, but that's not usually enough. Rosaceae is a huge family, and some Prunus sp. aren't even graft compatible with other Prunus species. I have never heard of any non-Prunus species in the rose family being graft compatible with any Prunus species.

With some clever use of quince/pear/"Winter Banana" interstems you might be able to get apples or pears on loquat, but I'm not sure what the practical purpose would be.

That's true is same family Rosaceae but like you said it's a big family so, I stand corrected. :)

Thank you all. That make sense.
According to this site and from your comments, that grating will likely only happen within the same subfamily
