Tropical Fruit Discussion / Potted atemoya production
« on: June 04, 2020, 05:57:27 PM »
As I plan my atemoya grove, have wondered what type of fruit production I can expect from the common varieties (geffner, lisa, AP, PPC) when potted and fully branched out.  For purpose of discussion, lets say a 25 gallon mature tree.  Production might vary from cultivar to cultivar, but what is general ballpark for # of fruit, and what has been experience.  Potted only

Live in 9b/9a (north central Fl) and trying to figure out what I still NEED to buy.  For other people, perhaps my list will help give some ideas.

So far I have:
White sapote (younghan/redland)
Jaboticaba (red, black, grimal, yellow, white, phithratra, oblangata and many of the rarer varieties)
Banana cultivars (blue)
Dream annona
Prolific mango varieties that might recover after a cold hit (VP, super julie, etc)
E calycinia/involucrata
E dasyblasta
E reinwardtiana
Malphigia glabra
Zills dark suriname

What else is needed for occasional dips to mid 20's.  do not wish to move things indoors
