I have a varigated Malika seedling. It's in full shade on its second year in ground. It's a slow grower but it looks very cool.

Marktlee here might have one to ship or pick up in person in San Diego. If he won't ship I can arrange shipping with him as I go to his place from time to time.

Gone. I can take requests for when I check the trees again this week. I think I should have about 15 still on there in various degrees of rooting.

I didn't see any messages. Email me at mysteryknightplants@gmail.com. Thanks!

Hi All,

I have some extra well rooted yellow rose apple airlayers (2-4ft). I have two extra this week. There are more on the tree. They have been well soaked in water and bagged to make a little greenhouse.

I gave a special price to people I promised some to last year. This year's price is $60 + shipping and PayPal fees. I will include a small handful of rose apples on each order since they are fruiting now.

Please email mysteryknightplants@gmail.com to reach out to me. Have a great weekend.

Hi All,

We have some great Surinam cherries this year. I am setting seeds from the Black Star cultivar for $2/each + shipping. Not all of the ones in the picture are perfectly ripe as they are a deep red when ripe. They have a very nice sweetness. Anyway, please reach out if you have any other questions!

Hey All,

I am the chair of our local CRFG San Diego chapter. I am looking for people who have chosen to specialize in specific fruiting plant varieties to be speakers at our monthly meetings, either in person or on Zoom (7pm PST, 4th Wednesday of the month). It is a great way to market your knowledge, brand and what you sell online AND help us Southern California fruit nerds learn more about growing cool cultivars/species. Please reach out to our club email if interested, crfgsd@gmail.com. Please use the header Speaker Request if you can so we can easily sort the emails. Have a great week!

« on: June 01, 2023, 07:13:55 AM »
Is anyone (besides Champas) selling mango scions right now? I would love to buy some, especially from Cali folks.

James

Hi All,

I am looking for Phoenix mango scions grown in Southern CA so that the growing cycles are similar. Please PM me if you have some! Thanks.

I was able to stop by the other day and taste the fruit. Very tart and slightly tannic. It probably needed more time to ripen. There is one more left on the tree.

Hey Kenny,

I would love to get the unknown pastillerie cuttings. Do you wanna swap for anything in particular?

What part of San Diego are you in?

Matt from Wanderlust Nursery here! We have plants in stock, they're just still dormant. Our clone of Zanthoxylum simulans is self fertile and has a good flavor. They are cutting grown.

We have carried Zanthoxylum piperitum and Zanthoxylum planispinum in the past. Zanthoxylum planispinum has a great flavor and is evergreen, so that"s neat.

Looking for Sansho and Sechuan Pepper plants (M and F). Open to trading or purchasing.

One World usually has them.

I don't have experience with them, but there are also:

https://northwoodsnursery.com/category/863/

If you are interested with NA natives that likely can pollinate szechuan/sansho pepper:

https://redbudnative.com/

I got my americanum from Redbud. They don't list it in the catalog, but I wouldn't be surprised if they can get one.

In a pinch, I can mail you some of my babies. (Likely clonal shoots) May have to wait for spring, though.

Hey Matt,

It's been over a week and there is still no shipping information for my order. Please PM me if you can. Thanks.

Out of stock for now. I have about 10 still on the tree that are not yet reserved.

Hi All,

I have over 30 Beaumont Macadamia airlayers that will be ready by the end of the year. They range in size from 2ft to 5ft long. $30 each, 5 or more $25. Pickup will be pre-arranged in Spring Valley, San Diego. Shipping will be considered on a case by case basis. Price for shipping will depend on the cost of shipping, not included in base price, and will be calculated as I get the info as to where I am shipping to. Please email james.b.lively@gmail.com to get on my list :)

UPDATE 2/22: I have 20 cut off the tree ready to box and ship. I reached out to everyone on my list and have received no responses thus far. I will open up the floor to anyone else. Shipping is available and should cost ~$15/plant (but will be adjusted when box weight and size is calculated). I would love to get these shipped off in the next couple days. Please email me at james.b.lively to arrange an order. Thanks!

Great! I just ordered a 1 gallon from you Matt. I think I also got the seeds from you. Thanks! If you get any other quality edible Zanthoxylum I would love to get some.

James

I plan to propagate them to sell leaves and peppercorns to local restaurants/bars. I will document any differences between the species that I purchase and try my best to compare them with descriptions. Last thing I want is to get X plant that was mislabeled as Y, lol.

20
Thanks! I didn't know that genus had so many edible species. I just ordered 4 mother plants of sansho. I imagine they are seedlings, not clones, but I will look for a taproot to verify. I got some sichuan pepper seeds in the mail this week, so hopefully I can grow those up without too much difficulty. I also reached out to someone at Planting Justice because they have both types of plants. Theirs are fruiting so maybe I will be able to get rooted scions sometime this next year.

Looking for Sansho and Sechuan Pepper plants (M and F). Open to trading or purchasing.

Don't they exclusively use Turpentine rootstock? Trees from FL on Turpentine don't do well here. Maybe others can chime in.

People here have discussed this and it might be worth looking into.

What cultivars? Also, are these fresh from the cherry or dried. Is the parchment removed or still intact. Thanks.
