Cold hardy zone 8b tropical fruit trees and cuttings
« on: May 11, 2023, 11:09:39 AM »
Have some extra seedlings and cuttings available. I'm zone 8b near Baton Rouge, Louisiana, most handle the cold with little or no protection, a few of the Eugenia are planted in the open and I don't protect them at all. $12 priority shipping for small seedling orders and $17 flat rate medium box for anything larger.

Have different sizes of each for a little more or less, pictures are examples of what you get for the price. More expensive trees I can send pictures of different ones for you to pick. All except the guava seedlings are around 3 years old. 225 431 zero380 for text anytime.

Eugenia brasiliensis (grumichama, Brazilian cherry) and Eugenia neonitida pitangatuba (star cherry) $16

Grimal jaboticaba $35

Eugenia ligustrina $45

Lemon guava seedlings $1 each

Cuttings $1-$4,  all are cuttings I've successfully rooted easily.
Ubajay-Eugenia myrcianthes (synonym Hexachlamys edulis)
Surinam cherry
Eugenia involucrata, Cherry of the Rio Grande, have orange red and black varieties
Jaboticaba-Paulista
Guava 6 varieties
muscadine 10 varieties (these down $1 each)
Blackberry 6 varieties
Blueberries
Pineapple guava
Mulberry 10 varieties
Prickly pear cactus pad cutting $3
Banana pups 9 varieties $13 will be dug up bare root

Here are some of the guava names.

Psidium Striatulum
Ruby Supreme
Barbie Pink
Purple Forest Guava (Psidium eugeniaefolia
Psidium longipetiolatum (cold hardy like the lemon guava)
Psidium angulatum (Brazilian guava)

I also have cuttings of myrciaria guaquiea $12, and myrciaria strigipies $8. These will be thinner cuttings more for rooting or small grafts.

I have about 6 varieties that still have a tag I can read, and know where a majority of the better ones at the top of the list are in the yard.
Most towards the top are from isons and are usually just larger varieties that still taste good.
I have a bunch of trees that are a small oval one called southern home from lowes on clearance a few years ago. I think it taste better then the rest, looks more like a grape and has more of a grape wine taste when fully ripe.

Nice, I had a southern Home for years but it perished last year's winter.
If you're offering that ID take some too.

Whatts the order minimum?

$10 plus the $10 for priority shipping. It's easy to id that one because the leaves are very different. Its also the most vigorous growing.

Hi,
Glad to find another local member!
What types of mulberry do you have?  Would’nt mind a eugenia that grows well in south La.  Have access to a greenhouse for my tender plants too.  I live in ascension parish and could pick up an order in person one day?
Thanks,
JJ

You have very perceptive taste. Southern Home is a wine grape hybrid with muscadine.
