So as I look around the forum there are tons of posts scattered through out with information pertaining to the Zill mangos. I thought it would be a good idea if we have one post that we can all refer to in the future for past, present and future Zill mango releases.
I currently have a few of them growing. Some have bloomed but have not fruited yet. Anyone else here currently growing them with successful harvests and photos of the fruits?
-
There are a couple threads, where someone has compiled reviews. which include the new Zill varieties. some of the really new ones have little information from backyard growers, since they have only been recently introduced, so only time will tell, how they will turn out in the "world".
-
Where is the best place in S. FL to procure Zill mangos?
-
They have a stand by their house.
Zill's Mangos.
Search that, they have a Facebook page with all the relevant info

I too asked for a composite journal on Zill mangos a few years ago. Would love to know the history, breeding activities, criteria of Gary Zill and of course characteristics of the fruit and trees.
Having said that a few days ago I grafted Fruit Punch, Pineapple Pleasure, Juicy Fruit and Cotton Candy on a stubbed back Mallika - 7 sticks. Another stick of PP on a bearing Sweet Tart and a stick of Fruit Punch on a bearing Lemon Zest. This about completes my Zill collection.

Just for shits and grins, a clothespin adds tension over Buddy Tape on 3 of them. Cleft graft.

Last year's newly grafted Frankencado in the background is holding 15 fruit of Pinkerton, Sir Prize, Ardith and Holiday. I probably dropped 60 small fruit on this tree.

No publication or journal on the Zill mangies and probably never will be. Without getting the info directly from the source, you would have nithing but assumptions and/or best guesses or at best, some third hand info on partial facts (or full facts is some cases)...and the source has no intention of providing all the background information. A lot of the information is proprietary or "trade secret"...or at least "family secret" and not something that the family wants to share in general publication.

Alex has some new to me Zill varieties listed on the last page of this:

Curious Alex or anyone else has experience with the fruits and if some has since been named.

Of the Zill mangoes I am growing E-4 (sugarloaf) and pineapple Pleasure in my Coastal Miami yard.
Insubstantial to mention but if we are making a log: The pineapple pleasure i just planted last year it was a 3 gallon. , it already has anthracnose on older leaves and has flushed leaves twice, no bloom this winter.
More informative: The sugarloaf I have I planted in 2019. It’s about 8 ft tall and relatively lengthy, not very symmetrical. But you asked about fruit, two years in a row I had full bloom, 2021 i had 3 mangoes that all dropped at chicken egg-size. 2022 I had just one fruit and it dropped at apricot-size. Both years the flowers were overwhelmingly male. Just a few female flowers. I enjoy the fruit so much(it’s my favorite) that i Plan on top-working one of my trees to sugarloaf as well. I figure I need two trees to have a chance at good harvest in future years judging by male flowers. The older leaves get anthracnose but overall it’s a decent looking tree with a fairly lengthy and vertical asymmetrical canopy, but pretty light colored leaves. Simaler growth to my “Keitt” but not quite as lengthy and much lighter leaves/ in believe E4 Has Keitt parentage….
It ain’t much but that’s my contribution.

Anyone heard of Z-20? Gotta mango last year with that written on it. Was very good (floral, no fiber) and different, so saved the seed and growing a mono seedling. The 2 people that probably hooked me up both denied having "Z-20" or knowing anything about it. Feel like I was abducted by aliens, as no one will corroborate my experience.

Yes. This was featured in the most recent Future’s Florida Fruit Feast. It’s a citrus (Orange/tangerine) flavored delight. I had never heard of it, took and change and am glad I bought a dozen. I also confirm: mono seed.

Thanks for the info/reminder Future! Even more excited to be growing out seedling of Z20 now.
