That is very nice, variegation is very clean. You may want to graft a few of those small variegated branch to save it from turning back to green (sometimes it happens).

This sale is over this week. So, last orders taken will be today and Saturday.

No. You can try to contact them. I don't know if they are ripe now since I don't have any mature trees with fruits.

Here's the summary on the KT9-Lindsey:

- Fruits seems larger than my Big Jim, even without any fruit thinning. They are all large fruits.
- Taste seems to be better (sweeter) than Big Jim, no tartness if you wait until it is ripe.
- KT9 is a more vigorous tree than Big Jim, each branch has an upright growth, except
when all the fruits hang from them.
- Growth habit is similar to KT3-Sheri Lynn. Both of these have strong and fast growing branches.
- Highly productive, each branch will have fruits every year. Not as productive as KT1.
- Fruit production of KT9 is higher than KT3, but not as much as KT1 (most productive).
- May be the best tasting orange flesh fruit I have, will know more this summer when I compare it
to all my other varieties (85).

Here's the summary on the KT3-Sheri Lynn:

- Fruits shape is elongated most of the time. Fruit size is medium.
- Flesh is white, light yellow.
- KT3 is a more vigorous tree than Big Jim, each branch has an upright growth, except when all the
   fruits hang from them.
- Growth habit is similar to KT9-Lindsey. Both of these have strong and fast-growing branches.
- Medium fruit production. Not as productive as KT1.
- Taste is very good, white flesh loquats have a slightly different texture than the orange flesh. This
fruit is not as juicy as the KT1, but taste is light, sweet, good texture.
- Fruit is very pretty, clean, no blemish of the skin. Also notice that Vist White will bruish easily,
even when hanging on the tree if it rubs or bumps into the other fruits on the branch, the KT3
does not. This might be a good candidate for selling at Farmers Market since the fruit is so clean
  with no blemish.

It's been raining & windy here and some of my branches from the KT3 & KT9 have too many fruits hanging, so I need to trim some branches before they break off. So next week after the rain stops, I will be selling a limited quantiy of cuttings from my seedling trees to registered forum members.

I do not plan to sell any loquat cuttings this year, but due to the weather, I will share this rare selection to our members. KT3 fruit shape is elongated, large, flesh is white/light yellow. Taste is very good. KT9 fruit looks similar to Big Jim but fruit seems to be a little larger, could be a cross of Big Jim with one of the other 50 varieties that was grafted on my tree at the time I planted the seeds. KT9 has orange flesh, very sweet, some people say it is one of the best tasting, no tartness when ripe. I would rate both of these in my top 5 best tasting of the 25 seedling trees that have fruited for me.

1) KT3-Sheri Lynn, Cost for cuttings, $5 each.
2) KT9-Lindsey, Cost for cuttings, $5 each.
3) USPS priority mail, small box, $10.20 (box size is 2"x5"x8")  -> can fit up to 10 cuttings, length between 5-7" with at least 3 nodes. Scionwood diameter between 1/4"-1/2"
4) Must be a registered forum member.

Sales is very limited, when I run out of cuttings of the long branches I will take next week.
Ships only to lower 48 states.

Paypal, Friends & Family payment.

Send me a PM if you are interested in some cuttings for next week. First ones to make the payment after I acknowledge I still have some available gets the order.

If you collect loquats, then you need to add these two in your collection.

I will post photos later below of the fruits.

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / Re: Himalayan mulberry scions
« on: March 27, 2023, 11:22:49 PM »
Yes, the Himalayan (from Brad) is a vigorous tree, so you need to top it every year to keep it from overtaking the rootstock. I also have a few grafted on my Thai Dwarf and it is fine as long as I cut it back each year. The ones I grafted on the Black Pak is huge, branches are larger than the Black Pakistan branches on the same tree.

Red Himalayan and White Pakistan do not root easily. I have not been able to get any cuttings to root. You need to graft these two varieties.

I cut off all the fruits from the branches and took a quick measurment. The fruits weighs about 30 lbs in the blue tub.

Since I have enough cuttings, I updated the price to $5 for 2 cuttings.

It's been windy here and some of my branches from the KT1-Kosmic loquat have broken so I will have scionwood for sale this week.

I do not plan to sell this seedling variety for the rest of this year so anyone who wants it should buy it now. This tree is one of my most productive tree I have, it has so many fruits each year that I need to watch how many fruits are on each branch or it will break off.

Brad, all my trees have leafed out and have lots of fruits so I won't be cutting any until after the fruits are done.

Seanny, yes it is.

It's funny that when it comes out of dormancy, and then starts to fruit on all the branches, the leaves are still small like in the photos. After the fruits are all done, during the summer the leaves just keeps growing very large and stays that way until it drops in the winter.

Here's some old photo of my trees from Brad.

Brad's Red Himalayan variety is a vigorous tree, my grafts are all very nice, lots of branches, grows 6-10ft in a year if you graft to a large in ground tree. This year (now) all my grafted branches are holding many green fruits so I will be able to taste more fruits that should be full size fruits for me.

Your graft and tree looks really healthy. If you just want to grow the grafted lemons then leave it alone and you should be gettings lemons this year or next.

If you want to add more other varieties (madarin, orange, lime) then I would graft one on the second branch above the graft union.

If you want to graft fruits that will be larger such as the grapefruit or pomelo then I would use the lower rootstock ( 1" branch) to graft those varieties.

If you like lemons, the seedless Lisbon is good (large fruit, mostly seedless) or the new one from UCR, it's called seedless Eureka, nice medium seedless fruits. I got a huge seedless Eureka fruit on my branch this season.

Here's some fruits from my seedless Lisbon, it always has ripe fruits on the tree all year long.

Yes, you can graft multiple varieties on your rootstock or the sciowood branches if they are growing well.

If you do not plan to add any more varieties (grafts) then you should continue to remove any rootstock shoots that grow below the grafted scionwood to get the fruits sooner.

Do you have a photo of the tree, that would help with any more advise.
