25 gallon Myrciaria fruiting trees for sale
« on: February 09, 2023, 04:21:17 PM »
I’ve got a couple of large myrciaria trees for sale, one vexator and a glazioviana (blue and yellow jaboticaba).

I am asking $500 for each of them and pickup is in Palm Bay, FL.

Both have flowered and fruited

Myrciaria Glazioviana (yellow jaboticaba):

Myrciaria Vexator (blue jaboticaba):

Sorry cannot ship these big boys. Willing to knock $100 off the price if both are purchased together. $900 for the pair

How do you like the yellow Jabo fruit?

I liked it - to me it had the taste of apricot, which is a flavor that I enjoy. They are pretty sweet.

Trees are also super ornamental, while producing fruit. If I didn’t have so many trees to plant these would also be going in ground. In several weeks these will be pumping out loads of growth - the yellow has already started to.

if someone can breed a glazoviana with superior pulp ratio, i'd prefer it over jabos.

I have another large glazioviana that has beach Cambuca grafted to it as I’ve been told it fits the description you just gave. That large branch has been flowering, yet I have not tried the fruit.

Agree that the fruit is very good, though flesh ratio could definitely be improved.

I hear that the cabelluda de cruz has better flesh to seed ratio. Nonetheless the yellow tastes really good. Just to enjoy it I'd ask for at least 100 fruits at a time.

I’ve spoken to several people that have these and they’re meant to pump out significant amounts of fruit when they put on size - more than you can really keep up with. I have noticed keeping more than one or other varieties of myrciaria together seems to help with the fruit set

They’re pretty different - I really like the apricot flavor I get from the yellow, but a friend of mine has the vexator as his #1 flavor across all myrciaria and Plinia he has tried.
