Interesting article about avocado grower in central FL

Such a shame the citrus and lychee industry down there is getting wrecked. Time to look for new crops I guess if you’re a commercial grower.

Avocados have been grown here in pretty large quantities for a while now — but yes all of the old scenes of endless citrus groves are a thing of the past now.

I remember growing up and it being a common site.

Seems like an odd choice with laurel wilt rampant in Florida already, too, but as a lover of avocados I can't complain.
