Los Angeles
I found this hole 6 ft from my baby mango tree. Can anyone identify what caused this?

A clue should be the types of ground digging animals u have in your region. Rabbits, groundhogs and moles come to mind but I dunno if u have them where u are, so just guessing. Whatever did the hole may still be underground ,or may not , either  way I would bury it and step on it to compact the soil .

This is from Iowa, but it still has valuable information.  I have used it in Idaho.  A lot of digging critters are fairly widespread, especially rats.  I would look around for more holes, also.

I’ve seen rabbits, rats and squirrels so I don’t know if it’s one of those

I guess as a more aggressive measurement u could put some kind of poison in the hole , is there any damage done to any of your trees ?

There’s no damage. And I put some mulch over the hole to see if it got moved away and it hasn’t been moved. But also that hole wasn’t there 2 weeks ago
