Thanks Mark for spreading the gene pool, so that others can enjoy great fruit too for generations to come! Really looking forward to trying this one after you told us it's your favorite.

Thanks Mark. just got the Mary Ln White Sapote scions in the mail. Really healthy wood, and thanks for wrapping it with parafilm which made my life easy.
I left the parafilm on when I grafted them all today.

Mark, how many varieties of White Sapote have you tried, and how do you think Mary Ln compares to some of them?

I really like my Vernon, which came from Laverne's Nursery.

Glad you got the scions in good shape. This is a seedling I found in an empty field here in San Diego. I have tried at least 20 varieties. A lot from the late Bob Chambers grove in the County. Also I have tried all the regular named varieties. Mary lane is by far my favorite. It doesn't have any bitterness and is like eating a sweet caramel, banana like pudding. The fruit doesn't get real big, but is productive.

Hi Mark, I sent a request for the Mary Lane. Could you send me paypal payment info if any are still available. Thanks.

Thank you for the Rainbow. That one is now off my list.

Thanks RevivalR00ts and TucsonKen for the trades. Just to update everyone. I am no longer looking for Rainbow, Selck, or Nies.

I have 3 Santa Cruz scions available. Enough to make 5 decent sized grafts.

I currently have grafted on my trees: Vernon, Suebelle, Walton, Santa Cruz, Cuccio, Sunset.

I am looking for any new varieties that I don't have yet, such as:

Fairhaven, Moran, Malibu #1, Malibu #3, Pike, Chestnut, Lemon Gold, Nettie, or anything else you think is good.

I'm looking for those same varieties too, except Sunset. If you have enough to go around, after sending to sc4001992 first, I would be interested too for sale or trade.

I have a Sunset that I got from Exotica Nursery in San Diego about 1 year ago, so I can help with the Sunset. It does not have much growth on it, but can be grown out.

I have 2 healthy in-ground trees to graft onto, so I would be happy to be a backup repository.

Jonah's the man, I have many plants/cuttings from him, and it is always good.

Yes, he has good white sapote cuttings too.

Nice pics. I like the "up arrow"... to show which way is up. Smart.
