Hey all,

I'm interested in grabbing some small plants or cuttings for a few different varieties of Honeyberry/Haskap. I'm open to different types, particularly the ones listed below. I want to see how these can tolerate growing in South FL. Odds are slim, but I like this fruit.

- Blue Banana
- Blue Sky
- Honey Bee
- Aurora
- Honey Delight
- Blue Moose
- Other early-producing, low-chill cultivars

Thanks!

I thought these required winter dormancy and 1,000 chill hours?

I’m seeing conflicting information on this Honeyberryusa says the later blooming vars with Japanese genetics has lower chill hour requirements and Onegreenworld says the opposite. I just started growing a few here in NC right on the 7b/8a line. I’m going with the late bloomers because of the frost/freeze that can happen around early April.

If low chill means 400-500 hours in this instance, how is that going to work for south florida or hawaii? Not to mention the winter dormancy requirement.
