Buddy tape

All ready to graft and went to get Buddy Tape, but several local nurseries have none!
Is this the correct stuff? (and which, green or clear, is the buddy tape):

No it is not.
While you can use that to graft, I have several times, it is not the same as buddy tape.  It does no breath, it will retain moisture in your union if moisture gets in, it does not break down easily .....  Bottom line is, if you graft with it, you have to watch the graft closely.  You may need to untie and retie once, maybe more times before you graft is fully healed.  I found it was easier for me to pay the premium for Aglis buddy tape.

Well I’m sad (1) I wasted time (need to do this asap), (2) bought wrong thing and (3) the real thing is so expensive - I only need like 4 strips (or 2!) and this is 100s of times more than I need. I wish local place at least had a few strips to sell.

This is a good post for those with the same question in the future though - I searched and didn’t find a previous answer.

Simone should sell this on Amazon in small quantities- you could ship so easy in a letter envelope.
