Can't believe that was over 10 yrs ago lol. That tree was in Pembroke Pines at my moms place for 9 years. Took very well to tip pruning- would get bushy, thick and rounded with it' already naturally short inter nodal growth! Would flower consistently. Hold allot of fruit that, to me, didn't taste like 'Julie' but shape and size wise, I see the resemblance (Two other mature Julie trees are on that property still). Disease resistance, this tree was spotless (I foliar sprayed micros regularly when I lived there). Brix would be in the mid 20s consistently. The only con would be the short season. All the Juliette's would ripen in 2-3 weeks.
The reason why it gets lost among the crowd is because they are better flavor mangoes out there. Sweet Tart is still my no. 1. LZ... a festering 2nd. Blew my socks off. Thanks Zands .
