Hello Luis, everything is good here. Has not rained in 6 months but thats normal. We are used to it here, nothing new. Regarding the plants, I shaded my tree for the first summer then put it in full sun. Its growing fine in full exposure and its quite hot here. I think the weather in my area is maybe hotter than yours.

Not sure about how long to fruiting, as we are growing outside of native habitat. With the grafted plants, I would hope within 5 years, but who knows?

Some plants have more serrated leaves...
The rootstock suckers on mine are serrated
I think age has to do with it.
Please any advice to plant them? More sun or more protected? Cold hardiness? Thanks!

A friend gave me this 4 seedlings but the leaves are not smooth, they are serrated... on net all myrica photos have smooth leaves.

This is the fruit of my suposedly dekopon tree... i don't think it is a dekopon but this don't have the usual tangerine flavor. It's more sweet and much less acidity... very good!

Have awlays wondered do bananas on such plants grow and ripen normally, i would guess they would abort or smt, unless the mother plant uses the energy from the mat and not her own??Hi! No, she doesn't have any healthy leaves due to cold weather. But she doesn't have any problem with it. The energy came from the roots... the bunch is growing fast and very healthy and i'm seeing already 4 hands... i'm not saying that healthy leaves are not important, but she is growing very well.

This year we just got light frosts, just -2C. We didn't reach -3C i think. But last year we got -4C or a bit less...
I never protect her. This is a really cold hardy variety!
