Congrats on the baby!!! Everything is wonderful about babies except diapers, puke and no sleep. But once you get around that, there is nothing better than having children in your home.

Got my CORG yesterday. Kevin was super fast on the shipping. Plant arrived in perfect shape. Bought multiple species from Kevin. They all have performed fantastic in my garden. Definitely a seller you can purchase from with confidence.

It is growing well for me in AZ.
The thing is, I purchased it before finding out that yellow wampee has the superior flavor.
Anyone have experience tasting pink wampee? Anything below a good flavor profile means it has to go. I don't have room in backyard for subpar varieties.

A bit different climate, but I tried a couple different paw paw out in the AZ. It came back every year, looked good all year, but no growth. I wish you good luck and if it works for you, I may have to give it a try.

Some other info on the tree. Mine is second year in ground in Phoenix
Has been a strong grower and had zero issues with the multiple days over 100. Besides I hear the fruit being yummy, it is also a very ornamental tree. Frontline yard worthy.

As for me, the plants never lasted very l8ng in the desert heat, but, I knew purchasing them they were experimental. Hope someone purchases and reopens.

I have 3. 2 in the ground, one in a pot. I originally planted a male and female, air layered from a nursery in Apache Junction. The female died but the male is probably 7 feet tall now. I do not know the sex of the other inground one. The potted one is an improved variety female.
I have the 2 behind my property between it and sidewalk.
Things I have noticed. Struggled first 2 years in ground. After that, really took off. They are extremely drought tolerant once established. Had a horribly hot and long summer. They weren't watered much and they look great.
Male flowered this spring for first time. Hoping I can get the female growing well and I might plant her in a better location.
Have been mildly bothered by thrips.
Those thorns sure are wicked.

I agree on the Barbados cherry. But the taste great improves if you can get the fruit to turn black. It will get sweet and kind of reminds me of a pleasant raspberry taste. To do that, though, you will have to net it. I get zero fruit from mine because the birds eat them when red.

What Dwarf variety of guava produces the best quality fruit. Have had p. Striatulum fruiting for 3 years and I finding fairly bland.

That's probably a bad sign. It is a nice looking tree, though. Kind of a canopy and keeps the sun off the front of my house. So, it may just have to stay as an ornamental.

I have what was labeled as Inga edulis growing at my townhouse. It is at least 10 years old, very healthy, and usually only a tiny bit of leaf die back in the winter. But not one flower in 10 years! I would like to try the fruit before I croak, anyone have advice on one's that will produce pods at a young age?

It may not work, but I have Eva's Pride out here in Scottsdale, AZ and it is listed at 100-200 chill hours. About as low as you can go and it is an absolutely delicious peach, self fertile. Blooms early and ripens early. I think it could be a real winner. You probably need to pay attention that it is grafted on proper So. FL rootstock.
And, I use those chill hours as a guide. We typically get about 200-250 chill hours around my direct area and trees listed at 400 will produce heavy.
There are other, less common ways to calculate chill that are probably more accurate.

Do they come true to seed? Orange grapefruits from New Zealand do not.
