A lengthy note about plant importation was just lost, while my picture and "Hello Guanabanus" in the top left-hand corner seemed to indicate that I was still logged in.

Had this happen many discouraging times.  Not sure there is a fix within the forum format.  One solution is to do your longer posts in a Microsoft Word document and then cut and paste into the forum post.  I don't bother when I am writing something short.......but when I am going to get verbose...which is all too frequently, I use Word.

The few times that this has happened to me (clearly I am not as verbose as Harry), I've hit the back button, copied my dissertation, and then re-logged in and pasted the text. Definitely a PITA, and I'm sure that Sheehan has something to do with it, but it has saved me from having to re-type my text.

I am not sure why it's doing that but I will look into it. Warren's method is the method I use whenever I lose a post I was working on. The back button is usually able to get me back to the post I was working on.

I looked into the problem, and it took about 45 minutes of inactivity to cause a timeout. I reset it to now be around 60 minutes of inactivity to cause a user to log out. Let me know if you guys think it should be longer. Sorry for the inconvenience it has caused you Har, and everyone else as well.
