That tree is about 3-8 yrs away from fruiting i would guess. Sabara can take 10-15 yrs to fruit. I think heavy watering will make them flush but wont induce early flowering. A tree that is already flowering and fruiting age will flower heavier if given alot of water . Ga3 can make them flower sooner but you have to be careful with it.

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / Nice grimal cuttings for trade
« on: March 19, 2023, 05:02:25 PM »
Going to be cutting a nice size chunk off a grimal to start shaping for bonsai. Tree is aprox 5-6 yrs not fruiting quite yet so scions arnt from fruit wood but will have 1 or 2 cuttings about 1/2 thick and a bunch decent sized.  #1 on my scion list is z4 hybrid really hoping to find that one but open to offers also would trade for sabara rootstock too.

Is a good or bad unusual?

7
In my exp garcinia are pretty resistant to pests they would have to be super bad to kill it and you would 100% see the amount of bugs it would take lol. Keeping ph around or under 6.5 has worked for me. Do you use city water? If yes STOP lol.

8
The tip burn isnt from thrips.  Have you fed the plant? what kind of water do you use? Looks like salt burn or wrong ph more than likely. I wish iv never delt with thrips they are a nightmare! There top most wanted in my garden lol.

That Beauveria Bassiana is crazy stuff! I use good ol lady bugs. After trying preditory mites in my indoor grow room i always found myself looking for them on me so im not dragging them around the house, just to me mites indoors are too much lol. Lady bugs have helped me for 3 years now they wont infest your soil either.

Plantinyum i made a few air pots too with it , it works good only problem is finding a bottom. Shovel n seeds got a good idea with styrofoam drains iv done that and pressure washed it out or you can use some 1 1/2 - 2 inch pvc . I didnt even think about light weight concrete now i might be trying this too haha .

Hey ryan we use this plastic to waterproof basements it keeps an air gap between soil and concrete so your walls never have hydro pressure on cracks also keeps it dry. It would work if you lined the walls and bottom of the pots with it. Basically airpot sheets without the holes drilled.

Its in a shady area with only above led lighting (mainly because i didnt think it would flower) so im assuming because of the lack of light on the trunk it decided to flower up high. I have a light low on my red and it keeps fruiting all year on the trunk. ill have to move this closer to that light now that i know its wanting to flower!
