Seeds received. Way more than I ordered and many are germinated.  :)

In my experience some seeds (those with visible seams) are indeed very easy to crack open. However, the majority of seeds do not have visible seams and, consequently, are very difficult to crack open safely. I use wire cutters, and I think I'm probably 1 for 4 or 5 on safely cracking open a seed which isn't already splitting with a visible seam, which is why I don't bother anymore.

It does seem like germination can take some time. I've only had one seed from my first batch (4 months ago) germinate so far. It may be best to just try to nick the shell or attempt to crack it open after allowing the seed to absorb some moisture and soften.

I wish there was an easy way to crack these open to speed up germination without damaging the embryos.

Anyone in the US willing to combine an order? Spending $50 is a gamble for me, but losing half is not too bad.

Down.

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / Re: Graftatree Seeds For Sale

Heads up: There seems to be an issue with the Oblongata page. Regardless of one's qty selection, it cannot be added to cart.

Safely received a grafted garnet and a nice stocky uniflora. Well packaged. Garnet is pushing a lot of new top growth and has (or at least had) two flowers. Hopefully it doesn’t mind going outdoors while it’s still a bit cold out.

Interested in cuttings/suckers or seeds of edible Pandanus species. Particularly furcatus as well as any red fruited species/varieties.

Just received my Nelitas. Box was looking like UPS ran it over a few times, but the plants look great and are massive to boot.

Ordered some mulberry cuttings around one month ago, and they arrived healthy and with quite a few extras. Despite placing them in nonideal conditions almost every Shangri La cutting has a good root system as of now. One Thai Dwarf has also rooted, though no Pakistani yet.

Seeds arrived roughly one week ago and were immediately potted. Well packed, with some extras, and almost everything arrived germinating or beginning to germinate. Ingas, mangosteens, and even the Mutingia are already sprouting and jackfruit and salak are not far behind.
