This is a  special paper it's a little bit "waxy" and glossy  very different  from ordinary paper used for example for magazines or newspaper.
As I noticed it gets wet during the rain but it dries promptly thereafter and unless touched when it's damp it doesn't get damaged nor moldy.
Here fruit flies are a CATASTROPHE. They attack everything including avocado, cucumbers tomatoes  all kinds of fruits.
SOmetimes on my passiflora vines i can count hundreds of them deposing their noxious eggs in fruits  >:(
