Grafted Mango trees for sale SoCal only
« on: September 21, 2016, 02:19:37 PM »
Hi all, I'm trying to clear some room in the backyard so I'm selling some mango trees.  For sale I have:

15 gallon grafted Rosigold Mango tree. This tree is very well developed and five feet tall from the top of the pot. This tree is known for being one of the earliest mangos of the season. $150

Cogshall Mango tree grafted in 15 gallon pot. This is a very developed tree that measures 4 feet tall from the top of the pot and about as wide.  $150

This is a very mature 7 gallon grafted Fairchild Mango Tree. It measures over four feet tall from the top of the pot and three feet wide. The trunk measures almost 2.5" wide. It is ready to go into the ground or a 15 gallon pot. $125

This is a 7 gallon Edward mango tree. It is almost 4 feet tall from the top of the pot. $75

Very nice trees Bill. Three are top tier. I highly recommend Edward, Fairchild and Cogshall as totally adapted to our climate. Rosigold is an excellent variety that Gary grows in Palm Springs and Peter in Escondido they adapt well to our climate and are super early.

I'm definitely interested in the Fairchild. I'm going to be down your way on Saturday and would like to come by and pick it up.

These are Florida grafted so should be Turpentine or what ever they decided to use.

Shame
Cogshall is one of the few mangos that do well on turpentine in our climate. Peter the owner of Park Hills will attest to this. My tree is keep at 6' with selective pruning. It gave me 56 mangos last year, with an extended season from late June to mid October, 24 this year. Here are pix of tree and trunk. It's been on the ground 4 years the tree was bought at TT 3 gallons under 2'

Edward and Fairchild are sold.

That's a nice looking Cogshall Frank.  Trust me if I had the room I would keep mine but I think 11 varieties is enough.  I need room for Garcinias!

Bill,
I'm also in the Long Beach area and growing a number of garcinias (6 of them).  Which ones are you growing, and how old are yours?

Hi Alan, More Garcinias right here in Long Beach?  That is exciting.  Right now I have Brasilensis, Gardneriana, Dulcis, Achachairu and Lucs. Most are very small. My largest is a two foot tall Achachairu followed by a foot and a half tall Lucs. I also have some Garcinia sp. Rusty seeds that I'm waiting to sprout. How about you?  I saw pics of your Lucs and that appears larger then mine.

The Rosigold is sold so I only have the Cogshall left.
