Hey all,

Looking for a decent plant or a few spare large cuttings of Peruvian Apple Cactus (Cereus repandus) near Fort Lauderdale. Would be glad to trade or purchase for a fair price. Personally don't think $25 for a couple 2" cuttings online is worth it.

Thanks!
- Dan

Wow, $25 for cuttings below a foot?

I bought a few 10' tall cuttings, cut down with a chainsaw, here in CA for $30 a piece!

I think they're worth eating and growing, but not even close to dragonfruit for fruit quality. They're insane for the quantity of flowers and aesthetic though. If you have bees they're dynamite.

If you don't like it, you haven't tried a good one.
Same goes for most fruits, your Peruvian apple is my dragonfruit.

@K-Rimes thats EXACTLY what Im talking about. Ill find it eventually but I just don't get the prices online sometimes, etsy can be the worst of it. I literally give out prickly pear pads and dragonfruit cuttings for free regularly; all these cacti arent that special.

@Jabo definitely hit or miss with the fruit I tried, I really like the floral flavor, quite unique to me. Appreciate the well wishes in my search.

Yep the floral notes kinda threw me off. Unique flavor that I don't appreciate. My family liked it though.
