Possible cupuacu seedlings for sale soon
« on: November 06, 2022, 09:56:27 AM »
Just cleaned off about 80 cupuacu seeds and cleaned them off and applied neem
oil to the seeds to keep mildew and fungus off of them

Does anyone recommend and thing else to use to help the seeds germinate faster

You could try a low-concentration GA3 bath for the seeds, usually helps with seeds that are slow or difficult to germinate. Not sure what % you'd need for this particular species.

Thank you for the advice and luckily from what I know theobromas are generally fairly quick to germinate especially when they are fresh but they run into the issues of mildews and fungus killing them quickly

Good luck. You can also try using willow water, help the seedlings develop and strengthen quicker. Cheap, easy to make, and useful if you've got a willow tree nearby.
