Selling abiu fruit locally (coral springs)...for now
« on: June 30, 2023, 12:19:47 PM »
I have a nice crop of abiu coming in this year.
A lot of fruits so they are a little smaller.
Maybe racket ball sized.
Around 1/3 lb a fruit.
$6/lbs

Pm me if you are interested.
They are starting to ripen now, should have them for most of July.

I've never tried these before. Is there anything comparable to describe the taste? Not even sure what they look like.
Trying to grow it all!

The closest fruit I'd compare it to is caimito (starapple)

For those interested in shipping, does 3 lbs of fruit for $40 (including USPS 2-3 shipping) sound reasonable?
I only have this one tree so I wanted to give everyone an opportunity to try.

Wow, thanks for the overwhelming response, everyone.
I should have been a little more clear, I mostly just wanted to get an idea if that was reasonable and it certainly seems so.

For this weekend I'll let the local guys get first dibs but will take some orders to ship out Wednesday.

I'll let you know how many boxes I'll be able to fill Tuesday (during the day) and will start taking orders then to be fair.

I'll update this thread then.
