My miracle berry's leaves seem to get burnt and crispy whenever I water.

Am I watering too often? About once a week and a half. I am using rainwater or distilled water. Soil was amended with some sulfuric powder after the first time. Does this need to be reported? In the pot I received it a few months ago .

They like acid soil but may be too much acid with the sulfur imo. How much did you use? Its pretty strong.

A small scoop. I added only after this started.

They don't like direct sun, and burn easy. Keep it shaded or dappled light at most. Indirect is enough. Don't let it totally dry out. I agree that sulfur can be tricky. I've never amended my tree, and it flowers and fruits just fine. In a 15g+ pot.

Nothing needs to be "reported," but repotting might be a good idea. ;)

My larger miracle berry bush leaves looked like that a few months ago. For me, it was a combination of being out in the cold and then a prolonged drought period with intense sun (mines in ground so it has to deal with it). Once it started raining, it pushed the bad leaves off and now is full with new leaves and fruit.
Give it a couple weeks in less sun and see if that helps. If you can, let it sit out in the rain, but not in the sun.

My miracle berries are finicky.  They seem to like shade and burnt leaves are common.  My first one I put in full sun and it seemed happy for a year or more, making tons of berries, then it turned yellow and mostly died.

I had planted a bunch of the seeds from its berries and one I had given to a relative who kept it in a sunny kitchen window in New Jersey, and it looked awesome - healthy and green.  Way better than the seedlings I kept in my greenhouse.  I have since been keeping them in full shade or morning sun only and they look better.  My original tree is still alive but its seedlings are gaining on it.  It seems to never have fully recovered from the dieback a year or two ago.

I keep them in peat-heavy soil with a bit of sulfur added.
