 AI made me aware that there's a Standard Frost a Fog Frost and Hoarfrost or Black frosts. The latter two sounds scary. Could they be considered a freeze or hard freeze. It's rather difficult to get a lengthy discussion or thread going these days on the Forum. In the past weather has always been something everyone would chime in on.

I think the hoar frost is when humidity and temperature align to slowly and steadily precipitate water out of the air to make frost sculptures. I have not seen it much in Florida, but relatives up north have sent me pictures.

I believe that their was hoar frost back in 90īs in sw Florida. Did much damage.

I remember a winter back in the 90s where there was enough frozen due on the grass I was able to make a snowball
