Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Dovyalis hybrid (tropical apricot)

I got some kei apple (dovyalis) cuttings from Marta last year and they didn't root either.  In fact most of the cuttings I attempted died, only the elaeagnus rooted and they are supposed to be super easy.  I am really thinking that this heat mat is simply too hot and killing everything!

Bummer Brian, I got some cuttings from Marta at Reallygoodplants a couple years ago and grafted most of cuttings except small cutting less than 1/8"in diameter and stuck it in sterile soil on bottom heat (70-80F) with mist and it took. Have in big pot now waiting for fruit before I plant in ground! I believe it was "not #8 female" that I rooted! She has a few different cultivars one is her sweet variety "#4 female" I had it at one time but lost it in ground!

Yes, my tree is grafted about 6" above soil line and it is an excellent graft union, healed very clean.
