I've tasted fruits of paw paw. the fruits ripened from a plant raised from the seed have a bitter aftertaste.
When I ate the fruit of paw paw, the bitterness remained in my mouth for a long time.
The aftertaste bitterness can be very flawed as a fruit and you won't want to eat it again because of the bitterness when you actually eat the fruit.
I have heard that the fruit of the grafted seedlings of the improved variety is less bitter.
If you want to grow paw paws, I recommend choosing the latest varieties of grafted seedlings.
Cliff at England’s Orchard sells a large variety of cultivars. Looks like he sells both varieties you mentioned.Thank you so much for your precious answer.
