Title: Unable to add image
Post by: Chandramohan on January 09, 2022, 02:44:50 AM
Today I tried to send a message, but I was unable to add a photo as there is no 'Add image'. Thanks for any help.

That's not much information to go on. Can you describe the failed process in more detail? Did you see any error messages?

He’s describing how when sending a personal message there is now option that says “add image to post” there used to be. Try posting a reply to this thread and the function is available but not the same in the personal messages, this has changed for some reason.

Ahhh, yep. It's definitely not there now. It's probably a setting that didn't get set/updated after the forum software upgrade, or maybe SMF removed that functionality in this version (I'd doubt that). I don't have access to the forum control panel, I can't be of any help in this situation.

This workaround works for me:

Probably the easiest route is to upload the image directly to the image hosting website TFF uses for the image uploads: https://postimages.org/

That site gives you multiple ways to post the uploaded image, just copy the "Hotlink for forums" text and paste it like this:
(https://i.postimg.cc/ydmwy5V2/yellow-fruit.jpg) (https://postimages.org/)

You can also copy the 'Direct link" text, click on the "Insert Image" button in the formatting above the text/reply box (that I'm typing in now) and paste the direct link (https://i.postimg.cc/ydmwy5V2/yellow-fruit.jpg) in the img code block. That'll post the full-size image, but without it being clickable to open in a new window. Here's that:
