Feijoa Pineapple Guava
« on: April 11, 2015, 12:32:07 PM »
Hello,

I'm curious if anyone had any thoughts as to what is wrong with my Feijoa Pineapple Guava? No new growth, color very light and many leaves are starting to look like they are about to fall off. The temps here are barely warming up, so i am not panicking, but something def looks wrong. My feijoa's in pots are a deep green and full of growth already. The interesting thing is that I had a Washington Naval orange tree planted where Feijoa is now that looked unhealthy, just like the Feijoa! I took it out, put it in a pot and now it's doing great.

I fertilized yesterday and the fertilizer has micro-nutrients; I'm hoping that helps!!!

I had/have similar problem. A friend in newzealand had same thing and we both were using wormcasting... We stopped and used garden soil and less  fertiliser. Most of them ok now. In worst cases,They get more yellow and drop leaves then dry.

I have had almost similar problems with my Feijoa plants. The ones I planted in the ground are slow growers, but the one I kept in the pot is growing very well.
