Jaboticaba - Cold damage?
The Herb Swamp:
Is this cold damage on the new growth? We got down to about 34 briefly and then 39 the next morning for a few hours..
Julian R:
Most likely. I'm guessing some cold wind was blowing around on it. Same thing happened to my Achacha's new growth :(
K-Rimes:
Looks to me like the branch may have been broken at the base. That happens to me sometimes when I am reaching into the tree for pruning or harvesting. Jabos are very cold hardy overall, no damage even down to 28f for me. 26f, yes, you'll see some die back.
RS:
I had cold damage on several of my jabos from that recent cold snap, which was a surprise since the low temp here was 34 but mid-20's with the wind chill.
The Herb Swamp:
Ahh.. thanks for the responses everyone. I suspected it was probably cold damage plus I watered right before the cold like a fool lol
