If anyone who qualifies to buy the scions are still interested then you will need to now pay in advance and I can get more cuttings this week, that will be all for this sale since the house may be sold.

Once I get everyone's payments, I will take the cash to the owner before I ask for the rest of the cuttings I need for remaining orders.

Let me ask the home owner, I thought he said it has been fruiting for a month or more. Your question has been submitted.

All these photos here are mine, I took them from Feb 1 2025 to last weekend.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Ruby Red Guava ?
« on: February 12, 2025, 03:50:32 PM »
SoCalGardenNut, good to hear that. When I have time, I will go to EKT nursery to buy the tree before they run out since it's on sale now.

I think I'm good with all the different guavas that tastes good. I will not be able to taste JF guava (Jalisco & Delores) for a while, but these guavas probably will taste better. Just need to go dig up the last Carmine guava (type#3) I found, large tree. Then I may need to try and dig up a huge Jackfruit and see if I can keep it alive.

Seng, I don't have the option to turn on the English caption so which one was the best tasting and which one was #2.?

I think the Thai Ruby fruit I ate was one of the best tasting from Thien. Then the other one I liked was the Indonesian Seedless guava fruits from my friend Dan (has a large tree).

But they are still different tasting from the Carmine guavas or carmine series I have tasted, I still like these a lot. When I have time, I will show the photos of the 3 Carmine type fruits on the trees I found. The Syvia (Carmine) guava is still my favorite fruit.

7
Yup, the first time I visited the tree, every branch you looked up had these grape looking bundle of fruits hanging down. I estimated the tree had maybe 700-1000 fruits since each cluster of fruits has about 10-12 fruits.

The owner has also been selling only the fruits for months now so last week when I went, it only had about 100 fruits left. Probably will be out of fruits soon, but I did notice the next season flower buds are all starting to grow now.

A few more photos below.

Ermer, nice fruits. What variety of guava is that one?

11
For those of you that have purchased the Seedless Krueger scions, I will post some photos of the leaves and tree branches now so copy any photos since I will not leave it on here after next week.

Looks like the Krueger is the best seedless cocktail fruiting tree that I can find here in SoCal, also never seen any trees that I purchased with any fruits yet so it may not produce seedless fruits as they state in the sales info. I have been buying most of my seedless avo from Lara Farms so they should have the true type but since I see no photos on their website, not sure what the fruits will look like.

So for anyone who wants to have a Seedless tree, just buy the Krueger and you can't go wrong. Every cutting I'm selling for the tree owner had the seedless fruits hanging from a portion of these branches so no fake fruits here.

I may need to find the Taiwan Ruby guava. EKT nursery is nearby. A fruit friend visited them and said they have many good-looking plants. I saw this plant was on sale now, $100 (was $150).

Does anyone have this one? If you do, can you describe the taste of the fruit.

Before I forget, someone (paulish) asked me about my DA3 guava plant that was approach grafted. I did take some photos so later tonight after I ship out some orders and graft all my scions (behind on 100+).

I'm still keeping this DA3 indoors, so it doesn't have issues with the cold temperatures we still have.

For anyone buying the cuttings, please read below..

Ok, I may only be able get cuttings this week of the Randi cuke cocktail branches for grafting since the house may be sold now, I'll know later today.

So, if anyone like to buy some cuttings to graft, send me a message today. There is one other person who claims to have a tree that has all Fuerte cuke fruits but he never returned my messages so this might be it for me since I already have it grafted on my trees. When the fruits I have ripens, then I will post below how it tastes.

17
Ok, now you need to graft the Randi (fuerte type) scions before I can't get any more this week.

Robert, I'm waiting for the Randi fruits to ripen, they are still hard and green.

I also bought some fruits of the No.4, Cocktail Fuerte fruit on the large tree I visited yesterday. I'll also post some photo of this tree later.

Tomorrow, I will get back to the Randi tree and try to cut as much scion branches of the tree with the cocktail seedless fruits if she lets me. Her name is Randi but will give me a name she wants to call her scions this week when she has it. Since she is selling the house, I don't think she minds if I take more fruits and cuttings. I'll take her grafted tree when I go so I have something to give to her.

These fruits are not ripe yet, just cut them to show the inside with no seeds.

20
I'll post the photos below:

21
Here's the cost for a scion of the branch with the seedless cocktail finger fruits:

1. Sale is for lower 48 states
2. You must be a forum member for at least 3 months
3. Cost of the Randi avocado cutting is $15 each
4. Shipping cost is $11, small flat rate box (5"x8"), so cutting will fit in this box, 7" long.
5. Size of scion will range from 1/4" diameter to 3/8" diameter hardened wood.
6. Only accepting PayPal (friends & family). Don't pay until I message you that you can buy it.
7. I have the right to refuse to sell to anyone, if I don't reply to your message then you will not be able to buy it.
8. There is no guarantee that these scions will have seedless cocktail fruits when you graft it since they could be random flower pollination issue.
9. Cuttings will be taken only from the branch with the seedless cocktail fruits.
10. This is a very limited sale since this house is being sold, I only have until the owner says its sold to take cuttings.
11. The sales profit will go to the tree owner.

Send me message if you would like to buy the scion, don't post below since I will only go by the messages received to buy it.

Right now, I have enough scion wood cutting for about 10 orders. If there are more people wanting it, I can go ask to cut more branches from this seedless fruiting branch.

You can see the photos of the No.3 listed in my discussion post below:

Here's the background on this seedless Fuerte tree No.3

=> 3. Fuerte#1 Seedless cocktail avocado branch

===================================================
I will now list what I have found so far of these types below and as I get some photos of the actual fruits or photos of the fruits hanging from the tree, I will add to this post. Also, if anyone else has them growing, it would be nice to see your fruit photo showing it hanging from your tree, so we know it is a real fruit tree, not some photos taken from the internet (not verified as real).

I will not disclose the location of these trees, so the tree owners don't get hassled about selling cuttings or fruits from random people who heard about it.

Later tonight, I will show the photos of each cocktail fruits I found so far, then try to do a side-by-side comparison where possible so we can see how they compare. Here's the list so far.

1. Seedless Krueger cocktail avocado
2. My unknown Seedless (will name it later) cocktail avocado
3. Fuerte#1 Seedless cocktail avocado branch
4. Fuerte#2 Seedless cocktail avocado tree
5. Fuerte#3 seedless cocktail avocado tree - still not able to contact the person who claims it has all seedless fruits on the tree.

There are many more, but I will only show the ones that I have personally got fruits from that tree and have photo evidence of its existence. So I will not show the other named varieties sold from online nurseries where we (forum members) don't have anyone that has a fruiting tree. I will show some trees I have purchased from some nurseries to show the size and cost of it in case anyone is looking to buy one. This will give you an idea of the cost for a grafted tree.

=============================================================================

23
I did check out the other avocado tree No.4, Fuerte tree with cuke fruits. I bought some fruits which were seedless cocktail finger fruits, but when I checked the tree it was just random fruits along with the normal size fruits. So this one will not be shared with the forum. I did say I will graft one tree for them of the branch which had the cuke fruit, but otherwise, this one is not one to keep.

24
Here's some photo of the No.3 tree mentioned above. It is a very large Fuerte tree which has normal fruits on most of the branches, but there is one branch on this tree which seems to only have the seedless cocktail finger size fruits.

25
Yup, especially on the Fuerte trees, they say it seems to have more of these cukes/small seedless fruits than other varieties.
